Bangie Embol is the master weaver and leader of the weaving community of Rumah Garie longhouse, in Kapit District, Sarawak, Malaysia. Her weaving group of about 50 women is the only group of Iban ‘pua-kumbu’ or warp-ikat weavers who has accomplished using the silk yarn for their weaving in natural dyes.
