The documentary “Simone Pheulpin, Plieuse de temps” was produced to coincide with the monographic exhibition entitled “Simone Pheulpin, Plieuse de temps”, which took place at the Musée des Arts décoratifs in Paris in 2022. The exhibition celebrated fifty years of Simone Pheulpin's exceptional career. In residence at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, filmmaker Anna-Claria Ostasenko offers us her vision of the museum and the artists exhibited there.
Her reflections are at the crossroads of cinema, art, literature and history. What followed was a lengthy exchange between the filmmaker and Simone Pheulpin, resulting in a poetic short film tracing the career, technique and inspirations of the French sculptor.
