Under the theme “Roots and Horizons”, Brazil offers a collective and colorful response through the works of six creators from the states of Paraíba, Ceará and Pernambuco. Intimately rooted in the cultural and artistic plurality so dear to Brazil, the artists explore the limits of materials and objects through a series of pieces specially created for the occasion, between tradition and contemporary issues.
Brazil’s participation at “Le Banquet” of the Révélations Biennial 2025 brings together Rodrigo Tremembé (fashion, textile, visual arts), Amência Rocha (lighting, straw), Chico Ferreira (ceramics, objects), Sérgio Teófilo (wood, design), Diogum (iron, visual arts), and Fernando Toko (wood, object design). Under the theme “Roots and Horizons,” this selection explores the dialogue between tradition and innovation, showcasing how Brazilian craftsmanship transcends material and symbolic boundaries. Representing Brazil in this privileged space reaffirms our cultural and creative relevance on the global stage, projecting our roots into innovative horizons.
The Northeast Consortium, founded in 2019, unites nine states to coordinate efforts, attract investments, and promote sustainable development. It serves as a strategic management space and a catalyst for governance agreements. In 2021, the Thematic Chamber of Culture was created to highlight the region’s cultural diversity. Since then, it has brought together culture secretaries to promote artistic expressions at local, national, and international levels. At the Révélations Biennale, Paraíba, Ceará, and Pernambuco will represent the Consortium.
