Ateliers d'art de France presents

Archives personnelles

Archives personnelles tells the past, present and future of five Canadian women creators who, through the close relationship they have with materials, leave traces of their presence, memories, thoughts and gestures on tangible shapes.
Galerie Collection chez Empreintes

The work of art becomes an archive when the material transformation process becomes permeated with the artist’s individuality. The works of ceramicists Marissa Alexander and Amber Zuber are the result of their creative moment, subject to both the thoughts and movements of each of the artists. In a more conceptual way, materials can be perfect for reflections on the artist’s identity and personal history, as the works of Tina Marais, Helen Liene Dreifelds and Katherine Boyer illustrate it.
