OFF-SITE PROGRAMME

The 2017 edition of the biennial is proposing for the first time to extend the experience beyond the main hall of the Grand Palais with an Off-site programme pathway of discovery. Révélations invites you to explore various partner sites around the capital.

Carré Rive Gauche - Garel² exhibition

As well as the dialogue between father and son expressed within the Révélations fair, the work by artists and their creations exhibited in the Carré Rive Gauche galleries will strike a similar chord. Visitors will be able to take a fresh look at this district of antique dealers and art galleries with a wide range of specialities, ranging from Antiquity to contemporary art, via the new journey we are invited to take by Garel and son.

EMPREINTES Exhibition by Daphné Corregan

During Révélations, EMPREINTES, the Fine crafts concept store in the heart of the Haut Marais in Paris, presents the world of American artist Daphnée Corregan, the embodiment of the new visual identity of the biennial’s third edition. The twin sister of her «Veiled Ladies» sculpture on the poster for Révélations will be on sale at the concept store along with other more architectural creations in which she blurs the boundaries between container and content. Meeting with Daphné Corregan, ceramic artist, Saturday 6 May from 3pm to 5pm at EMPREINTES.

Ex Nihilo Daniela Busarello exhibition

As part of Révélations, Ex Nihilo gives a free reign to Brazilian artist Daniela Busarello to imagine and create a numbered limited edition series of flasks inspired directly by her work. Meanwhile, come and discover an exhibition of work by the talented and surprising designer in the Ex Nihilo shop.

Galerie Collection - Animalité? exhibition

Galerie Collection invites you to return to a state of nature for the duration of its exhibition! It presents a scene of wild imagination, drawing its ideas from untamed nature and exploring the link between animality and humanity via a range of materials, including bone, ceramics, dung, leather and feathers.

Galerie de Sèvres Philippe Apeloig exhibition

Graphic designer Philippe Apeloig was invited by the Manufacture de Sèvres to create three patterns on a Diane service to be exhibited in Paris, accompanied by designs printed on paper from Japanese brand Awagami.

Galerie VIA Game ChangHer exhibition

This spring, VIA is hosting a radical exhibition, shedding light on the creations from a plethora of female designers. Well-known names mingle with new emerging talents over the course of a fun exhibition, designed and staged by Ionna Vautrin. Without attempting to contrast male and female talent, the Game ChangHer event on the contrary celebrates the universality of design, seen here from a female perspective.

How do two people produce a work? Reflecting the numerous creative pairings exhibiting at Révélations, L’Atelier, the Ateliers d’Art de France exhibition and demonstration space, is presenting Duos de Matières / Duos de Créateurs – an exhibition which looks back at the unusual stories arising from meetings between two creators, two materials, two areas of expertise, etc. Some will be present to share their experiences with the public during meetings and demonstrations.

Mobilier National Sièges en Société exhibition and permanent collection

From 25 April to 24 September 2017, at the Galerie des Gobelins, the Mobilier National furniture museum presents the Sièges en Société, du Roi-Soleil à Marianne («Society Chairs, from the Sun King to Marianne») exhibition, looking back at over three centuries of the art of chair-production in France. In an exhibition design by Jacques Garcia, more than 300 chairs, exclusively from the Mobilier National’s own collections, will be presented in their original surroundings ceramics, dung, leather and feathers.

Musée de la vie romantique - À Fleur d’Ateliers – fine crafts tour

In connection with the exhibition Le Pouvoir des Fleurs, Pierre-Joseph Redouté (1759-1840) To mark the first retrospective in France devoted to Pierre-Joseph Redouté, 26 contemporary creators are on display in the Musée de la Vie romantique providing a counterpoint to the naturalist painter’s floral work, from 26 April to 1 October 2017.

Sèvres - Hirlet exhibition and permanent collection

Hirlet exhibition and permanent collection The exhibition dedicated to Andrée and Michel Hirlet pays tribute to the unusual careers of a pair of French ceramic sculptors whose creative scale and originality have previously been underestimated. The exhibition presents around 60 works by these two artists along with models and prototypes, reflecting their studio’s constant output and their unique artistic approach over the last 50 years.
