Ateliers d'art de France presents

Korean fine crafts at the Grand Palais

Since 2019, Révélations has been a partner of the Cheongju Craft Biennale in South Korea. One of the world's biggest events dedicated to contemporary craft, the Cheongju Biennale was created in 1999 and brings together some 3,000 artworks by 250 artists from over 50 countries, every two years. At each edition, this flagship event offers a glimpse of the latest trends and future discourse in global fine crafts. In May in Paris, the Cheongju biennial showcases Korean excellence at Révélations.

For Révélations, the organisers of the prestigious Cheongju Craft Biennale are coming specially from South Korea to present a selection of emblematic artists.

A selection of 5 creators on a collective stand

A collective stand supported by the Cheongju Craft Biennale is unveiling in Paris a selection of 5 creators with exceptional skills. Lacquer, ceramics, glass: the material is sublimated.

The XIAMEN University school, Swedish ceramist Hanna JÄRLEHED, master lacquerer Jung Hyeokjin - HJ STUDIO, and glass artists Suyeon KIM and SONGINBEOM will be in Paris to unveil their latest creations. A not-to-be-missed event for international fine crafts enthusiasts.

South Korea at the heart of Le Banquet, Révélations' international exhibition

The backbone of the biennial, the international exhibition Le Banquet is an invitation to discover the diversity of contemporary fine crafts from around the world. Among the 12 countries and regions of the world represented in this year's exhibition, the Cheongju Craft Biennale is proud to welcome South Korea.

Through the works of six Korean artists presented at this Banquet, this exhibition explores a new age of the earth and reinterprets nature in innovative ways, offering a form of art craft of unique subtlety and elegance, through the work of paper, glass, resin or metal.

More about the South Korea Banquet

From 4 September to 2 November, the Cheongju Craft Biennale will celebrate its 14th edition in 2025 and explore the fundamental values and alternative practices of craft through various events, such as craft exhibitions, forums, the Cheongju International Craft Competition and craft education programmes, under the theme ‘Re_Crafting Tomorrow’.

Ateliers d'Art de France, a loyal partner of the event, will be presenting a selection of arts and crafts, through the participation of the Galerie Collection; located at 5, rue de Picardie in Paris.
